CABO Solana

CABO Solana is the completed proof build within Project CABO.

It began as a tiny home project, but real use quickly showed that the home, the site and the services all had to work together.

The home itself was only one part of it. Delivery, placement, power, water, waste, stairs, appliances, outdoor space, storage and the way the site worked day to day all mattered just as much.

What CABO Solana proved

CABO Solana gave FMH something practical to work from.

It replaced guesswork with a real home on a real site, showing what happens through the build, delivery, placement and everyday use.

It also made one thing clear: decisions made early in the build can affect almost everything that follows.

The project covered:

  • Site preparation and access
  • The build and delivery process
  • Placement on site
  • Solar and off-grid power
  • Water, waste and grey water
  • Appliances and fit-out
  • Stairs and entry access
  • Outdoor living and daily use
  • Supplier coordination
  • Future expansion

The lesson

A tiny home is not just a product.

It becomes part of the site and part of everyday life.

CABO Solana showed that the home, the site, the services, the suppliers, and the future plan all need to work together.

What CABO Solana taught us carries into CABO Haven and FM DIRECT.

CABO Solana project stages

The CABO Solana story is shown across six stages.

Each stage shows a different part of the project, from preparing the site through to the work that followed after placement.

Site Prep
The groundwork, layout, access and early planning completed before the home arrived.

The Build
The factory construction, fit-out and supplier decisions behind the finished home.

Completed
The finished home before delivery and placement.

Placement
The move from factory build to a real site, including delivery, positioning and the first practical decisions that followed.

Showcase
A closer look at the finished interior, exterior and living details.

Aftermath
The first round of work after placement, including power, water, waste, access, stairs and outdoor use.

Next stage: CABO Haven

CABO Haven begins where CABO Solana ends.

It takes what was learned from the completed home and starts building out the site around it, including outdoor living, storage, shelter, better access, future power needs and the systems required for longer-term use.

Why CABO matters

Project CABO gives FMH a real project to learn from.

It shows what worked, what changed and what should be considered before someone commits to a tiny home, supplier, site or setup.

How this connects to FM DIRECT

The practical lessons from CABO Solana feed directly into FM DIRECT.

They help shape the questions buyers should ask around suppliers, products, site readiness, fit-out, power, water, access and future plans.

Current direction

CABO Solana turned the original idea into a working home.

CABO Haven is taking those lessons into the surrounding site.

The goal is simple: keep building from what works in the real world.
