CABO Solana and CABO Haven were not built from a catalogue.

Every part had to be chosen around the space, the site and how the home would actually be used. Some decisions were simple. Others took measuring, checking, changing plans and finding people who could make the work fit the project.

This page records suppliers, products and services that were used, assessed or made available along the way.

Some of the same products or services may also be available through FM DIRECT. That depends on the project, what is required and what is available at the time.

APPLIANCES and Fit-out Options

The appliances inside CABO Solana came through The Good Guys.

Buying appliances for a tiny home is not only about choosing what looks good. Each item had to fit the space, clear the surrounding cabinetry and still be practical to use every day.

The cooktop and oven, refrigerator and washing machine shown here were selected around the finished layout rather than forcing the layout to work around them later.

Blinds

Veneta blinds were fitted throughout CABO Solana.

They were chosen to give the home privacy and light control without making the rooms feel closed in. That matters in a small space, where every window affects how open the interior feels.

The blinds can be seen throughout the finished living, kitchen and sleeping areas.

They are part of the completed home and have been photographed in normal day-to-day use.

Generators

These three Able Power generators were shortlisted as practical options for tiny homes, off-grid systems and backup power.

Each suits a different need: portable inverter power, value-focused automatic backup, or a larger fixed diesel setup.

They reflect the models assessed for this project at the time. Availability, specifications and pricing can change, so FM DIRECT confirms the most suitable current option before anything is ordered.

Generators may be available through FM DIRECT, subject to the project, location and current supplier arrangements.

SOLAR POWER

Sky Energy supplied the main solar, battery and inverter system used to power CABO Solana.

The system had to do more than keep the lights on. It needed to support normal day-to-day use, including appliances, heating and cooling, while also leaving room for the site to grow.

As CABO Haven developed, more solar capacity was added across the roof of Solana and the adjoining shipping container.

SOLAR INTALLATION

Remy’s Solar Solutions completed the on-site panel installation across CABO Solana and the shipping container.

That meant working with the existing system, the available roof space and the way the site was laid out. The panels were installed where they could add useful capacity without getting in the way of the next stage of the project.

The work can now be seen across both structures.
